| HiKoy®
Windshields
with
'micro-pore' acoustic foam sponge, the best premium quality available.
HiKoy® Microphone Windshields, fit around 95% of the most
popular, industry size standard ball type dynamic
Microphones such as the Shure SM58, Sennheiser E935, HHB FlashMic,
etc, etc.
Internal
dia. core 35 -39mm and outer dimensions 50mm dia x 75mm tall.
This
is the ONLY size that we make and sell.
By
concentrating ONLY on the world’s most
popular Mic size, our bulk manufacturing process on this
one size enables us to produce at prices no one else
can match, selling at less than £1 each, whereas some competitors
sells theirs for up to £15 each (HHB FlashMic).
Print
limitations. Printing on to a three dimensional, circular, open-pore
foam sponge is highly specialised.
Very small letters and fine elements cannot be produced because
of the holes in the surface of the sponge
and we may need to print a panel or surrounding outline to 'bridge
across' the holes in the sponge to prevent
any fine elements disappearing down the holes.
Horizontal
alignment can also deviate sometimes to a slight degree as the
foam stretches during the printing
process. This can be corrected if ever necessary when re-stretching
the windshield on to the Microphone.
Our
own in-house Windshield Printing Dept has no equal. Our print
machines are especially made for us to our own unique design technology
and we produce faster and at lower cost than anyone else worldwide,
exporting to broadcasters in over 100 Countries. We are the only
company in the World who can even print in full halftone
colour on to HiKoy Microphone Windshields!.
Most
Broadcasters have a range of different sized Microphones and should
ensure that our ONE AND ONLY size are compatible with their microphones
by ordering plain ones, before ordering any specially printed
ones.

Request
a Free Visual and get a written quote - before you order....
Go to the 'Request a FREE Visual' on
our Price List page
and follow the instructions. We will produce a FREE
visual proof to examine first for bona-fide / recognised
Radio & TV broadcasters who send in suitable artwork.
From
receipt of artwork, you will usually have a visual proof and quote
within 24 hours.
|
We
always provide a FREE visual proof which means you can order in
total confidence
No-risk - see before you buy and receive a written quotation from
1 to 100.
|
| |
| Do
you send out free samples ?
No. If you want samples, especially to see cube colours before
ordering - order plain ones first from our website.
If as a result of buying a sample one, you then go on to place
an order for printed ones within 14 days, we will produce 1 extra
printed one Free of charge with your order - plus you also get
to keep the plain sample one too.
For obvious reasons (security) we cannot send out printed samples
we have done for other broadcasters.
|
| How
long to Despatch from receipt of order ?
Direct Surface Print LogoMikes®,
around 10/21 days depending on the number of colours involved*.
Digitally
printed on Polyester Decals are dispatched within
7 working days - though check
out the
'Fast-Track' service below if you
want a faster turnaround.
* Unlike printing on to paper where the ink is absorbed into
the material and dries very quickly, we use hard
wearing, chip resistant Vinyl paint direct on to the surface of
plastic, which dries through atmospheric oxidization
and takes 3 to 4 days for each paint colour to cure dry. Drying
cannot be accelerated by heat, it would crack
the vinyl paint surface and melt the plastic!
HiKoy®
Windshields - take around 2 weeks from receipt of order due to
the complex process of printing on to
foam sponge. We can sometimes offer 'Fast-Track' and deliver within
7 working days but as this would involve a minimum of three overnight
workings which would carry a substantial premium. |
| Can
delivery be quicker ?
A soon as an order is received it goes
into immediate production and we are governed purely by the time
the
paint takes to dry on surface of the plastic (See above). We need
one colour to dry before we can apply the
next colour otherwise it would smudge.
We do offer a 'Fast-Track' production facility for Digitally
printed LogoMikes®
- see below.
|
| FAST-TRACK....
We can sometimes (but not always) offer a Fast-Track
service and dispatch Digitally Colour printed LogoMikes®
with applied decals within 24 or 48 hours (weekdays) from
receipt of approval and order.
This will involve either over-time or through the night working
and therefore carries a premium.
This is very much time sensitive and it is essential that we receive
your order before 12.00 noon on the day
where we have reserved a production slot for your order.

Paint
Colours....
Printing direct
on to plastic uses hard wearing, chip resistant Vinyl based Paints
- NOT PMS printing inks which are used to print on to
paper.
PMS stands for Pantone Matching System
and has become a main colour reference for printing coloured litho
inks on to White Paper.
Vinyl Paints are totally different from printing inks. By all means
quote your PMS colours as a guide but not as precise colour
reference and we shall attempt to achieve the very closest
colour match as possible to the
PMS reference with our Vinyl paint.

| What's
the difference between Vector Artwork and Pixel based artwork
?
LogoMikes®, made from Plastic can only be printed with solid
line colours - the Direct Screen Print method.
Where four-colour
halftones, tints and tones are required - we digitally print the
design on to polyester decals
which are then applied to each side of LogoMikes®.
Pixel based artwork are similar to colour photographs and contain
halftones, tints and graduated halftones.
(Pixels is short for Picture Element and made up of small
dots). These dots, or pixels fit into the squares of
computer monitors or TV screens - but when you look very close
up, you can see the little dots which makes
the edges jagged (known as pixilated). Jpegs, jpg, gif's, bmp's
are all pixel based graphics.
Most Graphic Designers do their artwork in a commercial software
programs, such as either Adobe Illustrator
or MacroMedia FreeHand which are VECTOR based.
However, to be able to open or 'see' the proper vector
artwork you would need to have a copy of the licensed program
that created the artwork. If you haven't got
those programs, your designer would give you a JPEG Picture of
your artwork, which is of course Pixel based.
In short, it is a picture of your artwork and not the original
art.
For optimum print results it is best to provide the Original Vector
artwork and not the picture version you may
have been given for viewing purposes. Click/see 'Artwork
Advice' on main menu bar.

| Artwork
supplied in Original Vector Artwork are best Direct Screen Printed.
Artwork supplied as jpegs (or pixel based) artwork would be produced
using Digital printed polyester applied decals.
If
you do send in Jpegs, remember the higher the resolution, the
better the results, ideally a minimum of 300 dpi to ensure optimum
print quality and not low quality 72 dpi which are designed for
'fast download web browsing' and
are not high enough quality for commercial print output.

About the FREE Visuals we offer....
We
will produce one FREE visual proof
to examine for all bona-fide / recognised Radio & TV broadcasters
who send in suitable artwork - free of charge and without any
obligation.
With each visual taking on average an hour to produce, we need
to try and ensure that our time is spent productively and that
there is a likelihood of us receiving an order as a result of
our time otherwise we would be unable to maintain our hugely competitive
prices for genuine buyers.
If we have not been able to ascertain your Station is listed in
various trade references, such as the 'Global Radio Frequency
Guide or TV & Radio Broadcasters Year Book' we may decide
to ask you to pay for the Visual, which
would be creditted if you send us an order as a result of that
visual. This is a deterent to prevent all the 'Freebie' time-wasters
who surf the internet and have no intentions of placing an order
- but rewards the genuine buyer
who makes a serious enquiry.
If you want more than one Visual
/ changes to visuals / extra visuals....
If we are required to provide you with additional or changed visual
once we have supplied you with a FREE one, we may need to make
a charge of £25 to cover the extra time and work involved.
Again, this ensures that our resources of time are spent productively
for the benefit of genuine buyers, maintaining
our competitive prices.
Our 80% more expensive Competitors don't even supply a Free
visual - you have to pay for the whole order in advance and send
camera ready artwork before you even see a visual
proof!
See also Artwork Advice
where you can even download an artwork template to give to your
designer.

Payment
Terms
In order to maintain our hugely competitive web base price, all
orders must be prepaid either by Debit Card, Credit Card / Pay
Pal Bank Transfer or Cheque and orders placed on-line for automated
processing.
Details appear on our order form that accompanies your Free Visual.
This payment methods allows us to accept over 24 different currencies
(you can pay in almost any major currency) and enables us to export
to over 100 different Countries worldwide without having to incur
additional bank charges for currency conversion or allow for fluctuations
in currency rates from the date of order to the date of payment.
We are unable to offer Credit Account facilities as maintaining
a sales account ledger in all those currencies with daily fluctuating
currency rates would simply not be possible.
Un-printed (plain) goods can be ordered securely on-line or by
telephone for one of our distributors (see 'plain
logomike page' on top menu bar).
If you are unable to order on-line for automated processing and
invoice gernation, prices woul subject to 10% extra to cover manual
