dimensions & Print Details...
LogoMikes®
fit almost every microphone we have ever come across
in nearly 50 years of trading (Industry standards such
as the popular Shure SM 58, Sennheiser E935 and the HHB FlashMic
etc) - but with hundreds of different microphones to chose
from,
it is essential for you to check yourself before placing
an order. Here are the sizes of our product - will they fit
your mic?
The maximum shaft or handle of the microphone should not exceed
44mm wide to allow for the top hole.
The foam insert 'grips' the shaft and can accommodate from 5mm
up to 44mm diameter.
If the microphone shaft is less than 10mm dia, let us know and
we can send along a foam packing insert at no extra cost.
To use a LogoMike® Cube or LogoMike® Triangle on a Studio
mic, just turn the LogoMike® upside down, so the Mic sticks out
of the bottom as opposed to the top.
LogoMikes® Cubes: 65mm
(2.5") wide x 57mm (2.25") height and a circular hole
at the top 45mm (1.75") dia.
Print area of each side is 54mm wide x 52mm height.
Printing: on all 4 sides of the Cube, the same design
on each of the 4 sides.
Or you may have 1 design on 2 sides and a different design on
the other opposite 2 sides, additional origination charges would
be charged for the extra design.
LogoMikes® Triangles: 95mm
(3.75") wide x 53mm (2") height, circular hole at the
top 45mm (1.75")
dia.
Print area of each side is 78mm wide x 40mm height. (3
print sides).
Printing: is done on all 3 sides of the Triangle, the
same design on each of the 3 sides.
Or you may have 1 design on 2 sides and a different design on
the other opposite 2 sides, extra origination charges would apply.
Printing is done on all 3 sides of the Triangle, the same design
on each of the 3 sides.
Or you may have extra designs if you wish, additional origination
charges would apply for the extra designs.
HiKoy®

Our bulk manufacturing process of this one size enables us to

our own in-house Windshield Printing Dept has no equal. Our print
machines are especially made for us to our own unique design technology
and we produce faster and at lower cost than anyone else worldwide
guaranteed, exporting to broadcasters in over 100 Countries throughout

Most
Broadcasters have a range of different sized Microphones and should

ordering plain ones, before ordering any specially printed ones.
Windshields can be printed in spot/line colours only - prices
as per our Price List page.

| Windshield
Printing Service (printing on Customers own Windshields)
If
you would like us to quote for printing other sizes of Windshields
(other than our own internal 39mm dia.), you would need to buy
your Windshields direct from the Microphone manufacturer and then

in the first instance so we can see the size and quote for making
a precision made die to insert into the windshield for the printing
process.
Prices:
1. Master Housing Die approx. £80 to £100 (One off
charge payable in advance and retained for future orders).
2. Printing Screen/s of the design are charged at £35.00
per print colour.

both sides)
4. There is a Minimum print charge of £70 to allow for machine
set up time.
Delivery from receipt of order is around 3 to 4 weeks and delivery
charged at cost.
Please

iPod-Casters, etc - but we'd like to help if you really need to
see one!

with your order - plus you still get to keep the plain sample
one too!
A terrific deal that keeps our low prices and rewards genuine
buyers / customers.
|
| How
long to Despatch from receipt of order ?
Direct Screen Print LogoMikes®,
around 14/21 days depending on the number of print colours involved*.
Digitally
printed on Polyester Decals are dispatched within
7 days - though check out
the 'Fast-Track' service
below if you want a 48 hour turnaround.
* Unlike printing on to paper where the ink is absorbed into
the material and dries very quickly, direct printing
on to the surface of plastic dries through oxidization and takes
3 to 4 days for each print colour to cure dry.
Drying cannot be accelerated by heat, it would melt the plastic!
HiKoy®
Windshields - take around 3 weeks from receipt of order due to
the complex process of printing on to
foam sponge. We can sometimes offer 'Fast-Track' and deliver within
7 working days but as this would involve a minimum of 2 overnight-time
shifts, carries a hefty premium of £120 extra. |
|
Can
delivery be quicker ?
A soon as an order is received it goes
into immediate production and we are governed purely by the time
the
ink takes to dry on surface of the plastic (See above). We need
one colour to dry before we can print the
next colour otherwise it would smudge.
We do offer a 'Fast-Track' production facility for Digitally
printed LogoMikes®
- see below.
|
| FAST-TRACK....
We can sometimes (but not always) offer a Fast-Track
service and dispatch Digitally Colour printed LogoMikes®
with applied decals within 48 hours (weekdays) from receipt
of approval and order. This will involve one of our
staff working late into or even through the night and consequently
carries a premium of £60.00 extra per order.
This is very much time sensitive and it is essential that we receive
your order before 12.00 noon on the day
where we have reserved a production slot for your order.
HiKoy®
Windshields
- take around 3 weeks from receipt of order due to the complex
process of printing on to
foam sponge. We can sometimes offer 'Fast-Track' and deliver within
7 working days but as this would involve a minimum of 2 nigh overtime
shifts, carries a premium of £120 extra.

Printing
Colours....
Printing direct
on to plastic uses Vinyl based Inks,as shown below and not
PMS litho printing inks which are used to
print on white paper.
PMS stands for Pantone Matching System
and has become a main colour reference for printing coloured litho
inks on to White Paper.
Vinyl screen print inks are different from litho paper printing
inks. By all means quote your PMS colours as a guide but
not as precise colour reference and we shall attempt to achieve
the closest
colour match as possible to PMS with our Vinyl based screen print
ink.

What's
the difference between Vector Artwork and Pixel based, full colour
halftone artwork ?
LogoMikes®, made from Plastic can only be printed with solid
line colours - the Direct Screen Print method.
Where four-colour
halftones, tints and tones are required - we digitally print the
design on to polyester decals
which are then applied to each side of LogoMikes®.
Pixel based artwork are similar to colour photographs and contain
halftones, tints and graduated halftones.
(Pixels is short for Picture Element and made up of small dots).
These dots, or pixels fit into the squares of
computer monitors or TV screens - but when you look very close
up, you can see the little dots which makes
the edges jagged (known as pixilated). Jpegs, jpg, gif's, bmp's
are all pixel based graphics.
Most Graphic Designers do their artwork in a commercial software
programs, such as either Adobe Illustrator
or MacroMedia FreeHand which are VECTOR based. However, to be
able to open or 'see' the proper vector
artwork you would need to have a copy of the licensed program
that created the artwork. If you haven't got
those programs, your designer would give you a JPEG Picture of
your artwork, which is of course Pixel based.
In short, it is a picture of your artwork, not the original art.
For optimum print results it is best to provide the Original Vector
artwork and not the picture version you may
have been given for viewing purposes. Click/see 'Artwork
Advice' on main menu bar.

Artwork
supplied in Original Vector Artwork are best Direct Screen Printed.
Artwork supplied as jpegs (or pixel based) artwork would be produced
using Digital printed polyester applied decals.
If
you do send in Jpegs, remember the higher the resolution, the
better the results, ideally a minimum of 300 dpi to ensure optimum
print quality.

| If
you want more than one Free visual / changes to visuals / extra
visuals ?
In order to maintain our hugely competitive prices we can only
provide one Free visual from your supplied artwork. Visuals take
around one to two hours to produce and of course we provide you
with the first one free of any
charge and without obligation in the hope it gets us your order.
If we are required to provide you with additional or changed visual/s
we would need to make a charge of £25 to
cover the extra time and work involved.
Our 80% more expensive Competitors don't even supply a Free
visual - you have to send camera ready artwork
in the first place and pay for any alterations that are required!
See also Artwork Advice
where you can even download an artwork template to give to your
designer.
|
Payment
Terms ?
In order to maintain our hugely competitive prices all orders must
be prepaid either by Company Debit Card,
Credit Card or Pay Pal securely on-line.
Alternatively you can always send a cheque, as stated on the order
form.
Secure on-line payment is the only method allowing us to accept
multiple currencies (you can pay in almost
any major currency) and enables us to export to over 100 different
Countries without having to incur additional
bank charges for currency conversion.
We are unable to offer credit facilities as maintaining a sales
account ledger in all those currencies would not be
possible.
Un-printed (plain) goods can be ordered securely on-line or on the
dedicated telephone line 0871 5977 100 (as shown on the 'plain logomike
page'). |
